Practitioner analysis

Deployment reality

Daifuku is the global leader in material handling by revenue — extensive AS/RS, conveyor, and sortation deployments worldwide. The Wynright acquisition gave them North American systems integration capability. Large-scale projects ($20M+) are their strongest case. Implementation timelines are industry-standard 18–36 months.

What the vendor won't tell you

Daifuku's size means smaller projects ($5M-$15M) may get less senior attention. The Wynright integration has been ongoing — verify which Daifuku entity is contracting and which team is executing. Product line breadth is genuine but quality of project team is the key variable.

Best environments

Very large ($20M+) automotive, retail, e-commerce, and pharma DC programs requiring full-stack material handling integration from a single accountable partner.

Watch-outs
